Jennifer relocated from Illinois to Colorado in 2019 when her husband was offered a new job opportunity. During her time in Chicago, Jen was working for Cook County as a registered nurse for over 12 years in various specialties, including surgery, endoscopy, oncology, discharge, education and community-health. Her last role was as a Nurse Transitional Care Coordinator where she was able to gain experience in pediatric and adult mental health care.
Jen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice in Health Systems Leadership and Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jen was fascinated with the curriculum and education at the Children's World School and the benefits she saw in it when her daughter attended her first year. She was delighted when the opportunity became available to join the school's staff as an Assistant Teacher in the Polar Bear class. She is continuously inspired by the staff and students and appreciates the exposure to early childhood education. She feels like she is learning along with the students, which include her children, every day!
Jennifer loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys listening to music/podcasts, crafting, reading, and being outdoors.
