Devyn is from Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Florida State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Education. Throughout her undergraduate years, she participated in an educational psychology research study on how culture influences classroom management.

She is excited to join The Children’s World School because of the strong sense of community and support this school provides for its students, families, and staff members. She believes in the importance of expanding children’s curiosity about the world through a sociocultural lens, and the CWS community resonates those beliefs with actions in their curriculum and relationships. She is also excited to provide social-emotional tools for all students to develop and use throughout their lives across diverse settings.

In the next 5 years, she plans to attend graduate school to become an Occupational Therapist, where she hopes to work for a practice that focuses on early intervention for children with intellectual developmental disabilities/disorders. Some things she likes to do in her free time include being outside and playing every sport under the sun, eating at local restaurants, hanging out with friends, and playing with her cat.
